Back home in Portugal, more specifically in the islands Azores and Madeira, there is a beautiful festival called Festa Da Flor (flower festival). The festival takes place in the beginning of May and I would like to tell you a little bit about it.

As you walk up to the Westmount Florist building, located off Sherbrooke Street on Victoria Ave in Westmount, you can’t help but stare. Originally located on St. Catherine and Greene Ave in 1961, our busy Westmount store has an authentic Montreal city vibe which our customers love. Moving to our present location in 1976 was just one of the many brilliant decisions George Pickrell, the founder, made contributing to the success of what Westmount Florist is today. The old, high brick building towers and our front window are always filled with amazing, lush displays of floral designs you will only experience at Westmount Florist. Our Christmas window is well known throughout the town of Westmount for attracting many passers by. Even the busiest shoppers often take a few moments to cross the street and press their faces to the brightly lit glass window and fill their heads with ideas for the holidays.
Push through the big glass door of this unique Montreal florist and bunches of seasonal fresh flowers are the first thing you will see--our specials of the day. Continue through the second glass door and you will find yourself surrounded with stunning displays of flowering plants, fresh cut flowers, lovely giftware and a personal greeting card display.
Our friendly team will always take the time to welcome you as you walk into the store. The shop is spacious, bright and products are displayed for you to browse without feeling overwhelmed. With the help from our talented team, rest assured that you will find the perfect gift, whether it’s for you or for someone you love.
Although the store has recently been renovated, you may notice that we have kept some of the original decor. Our team members will prepare and custom wrap your selection of flowers on an antique counter which is one of the original fixtures.
