Hello Japan

Each week we try to write blogs that appeal to our readers, customers, friends and staff. There is usually some sort of connection between what’s going on in our stores, to the blogs. During the week of Valentine’s day we wrote about roses, when we received our first shipment of spring plants we wrote about primulas…you get the idea. Today, with open arms, we welcomed a box from Japan full of the most amazing flowers I have seen in a long time.

Bulb Season!

It’s that time of year again, bulb season! If you’ve been in to see us recently, I’m sure you have noticed all our lovely paperwhite and amaryllis bulbs. Some have been planted, some are in boxes or kits and some are still waiting to be taken home and planted up by you! Now is the perfect time to plant up your bulbs if you want them to be in full bloom by the holidays! Not sure exactly what you are doing when it comes to bulbs? No problem! Here are some sneaky tricks we use at the shops…take notes because they work almost every time!

Asia - Creating a Mandala

Whenever I go away on a holiday I always manage to find myself wandering though the local flower shops, hotel lobbies, restaurants and even department stores checking out the floral displays. Sometimes it drives my travel buddies crazy -they see it as work addiction. Never the less I can usually manage to drag them along and once in a while they will get just as excited as me!
