Bromeliads are hands down one of the coolest flowering plants we have to offer at Westmount Florist. There are over 3000 different species, hundreds of different colour combinations and they native to South America. Their family tree is massive, but their two most popular relatives are the pineapple and Spanish moss. This week we are bewildered by bromeliads!
At long last it feels like spring is coming, although it is a bit early to start planting outside it is a great time to introduce some new green plants to your home or office. I always find that some glossy green foliage gets me in the mood for the gardening to come.
There is one thing that almost every bouquet has in common; greenery! If you buy or receive flowers regularly you’ve probably noticed that we always accent your flowers with foliage. “Would you like a few greens with that?” is a sentence I hear more than often working at Westmount Florist and it got me thinking…where would bouquets be without those awesome greens?
Time to say goodbye to your fall coat, and say hello to your winter boots. Scraping down your car becomes part of your morning routine and you can’t leave your house with wet hair…because you will freeze, literally. You can’t escape it, unless you fly south for 3 months…winter is almost here.
