With the Christmas season comes stress stress stress and more stress! Making sure all the gifs are bought, house is decorated, baking is done and the list goes on.
Over the years we’ve realized that our clients always want to decorate their mantles like they see in the magazines but they never seem to know exactly how to do it. In addition most people can't bear the thought of hammering a 3" nail into their mantle to hang a garrland!
Here’s a great idea and it’s quick and easy to do !
First place some decorative candles or other festive decorations, like pine cones or ornaments on your mantel. Purchase a mixture of Christmas greens such as noble fir, pine, cedar, juniper, or any other available. Cut it into small pieces and lay pieces over each other to create a lush bed around your decorative objects. Christmas greens usually last around 2 weeks indoors and you can even add some berry eucalyptus for scent or some holly. The euclyptus and holly tend to dry fast, so adding them just before your big party is a great idea!
Adding some fruit is another nice idea and apples and pears are some of my favorites.
Let your imagination run wild and before you know it your mantle will be gorgeous and your guests will be sure to notice.....they may even think you had Westmount Florist do it !!!
