Sweetpea – Lathyrus odoratus

Symbolism: Sweet peas symbolize good wishes, friendship, kindness, goodbyes, gratitude, and loyalty. They are also the official birth flower for April and can represent blissful pleasure, departures, and even chastity, strength, and truth in certain contexts.

Description: Sweet peas are known for their delightful fragrance, reminiscent of honey, orange, and jasmine. Their slightly folded petals resemble butterfly wings, and they bloom in clusters of various enchanting colours. As climbing vines, they can grow up to 8 feet tall when trained on bamboo stakes.
